On Saturday, November 17, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. LongTale Publishing Owner and Children’s Author Melissa M. Williams will be releasing the highly anticipated Little Miss Molly picture book at Carrie Ann Boutique. The stylish, pet-friendly boutique is located at 1151-10 Uptown Park Blvd., Houston, TX and will open its doors to a sea of mini-princesses for this charming celebration.
“Little Miss Molly is the ultimate girly-girl,” said Williams. “My hope is that young girls will form new friendships through common interests, but also become inspired to celebrate differences among them and understand the value in kindness and beauty, inside and out.”
In the book, Molly’s princess-like life is perfect until a huge disaster spoils her special day and teaches this little lizard there’s a lot more to being a princess than looking pretty. There’s a universal message intertwined that relates to adapting and keeping a positive attitude at all times.
For the event, children are encouraged to wear their favorite tutu for a chance to be crowned “Princess for a Day.” Children may also take advantage of free giveaways, mini tutu-making stations, designer cupcakes provided by Sweet Batter, games, drawings, activity stations and a chance to purchase personalized Molly Books and Molly Dolls. The Illustrator, Kelley Ryan will also be in attendance, autographing books at the event.
Williams will read from the picture book every hour and engage the children in a discussion about lessons on sharing and being pretty on the inside. The event is free and open to the public, and the book is intended for girls between the ages of three to eight.
